There are two
types of portable air conditioning on the page Bioclimatic air
conditioners and refrigerative air conditioners. The table to left
will help you choose.
The main
difference between the two types are running cost and whether you want
to operate the unit with the windows & doors of the room your cooling
open or closed.
Bioclimatic
air conditioners use vapourised water to cool the air by up to 30%
they have a low running cost are cheaper to buy, light weight and very
portable. They do however require the windows to be open which can be
an advantage if you like fresh air and find refrigerative air
conditioning dries the air to much. |
