Haier Group Corporation is a Chinese multinational home appliance and consumer electronics giant founded in 1984 when Zhang Ruimin took charge of the struggling Qingdao Refrigerator Co., later rebranding it as Haier Headquartered in Qingdao, the company has grown into the global leader in major appliances—leading Euromonitor rankings for over a decade—with 143 manufacturing centers and 35 industrial parks worldwide  Haier’s diverse product range includes refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, air‑conditioners, microwave ovens and smart TVs, as well as mobile phones and computers via its electronics subsidiary . Its global manufacturing footprint spans China, the U.S. (including plants in South Carolina), Pakistan, Thailand, Italy (e.g. Campodoro), and Africa, enabling localized production adapted to regional markets
