Vented induction hobs
Induction hobs have been around for years offering a faster, safer and more energy efficient way of cooking compared to gas and electric ceramic hobs. Vented induction hobs or downdraft induction hobs as they are sometimes known are taking the market by storm as they reduce the need to have an over head extractor hood enabling you to have cleaner kitchen lines and more overhead cupboard space.
A downdraft hob can be either extracted or recirculated and most of the latest models offer hi-tech recirculation removing the need to be against an outside wall. Many have easy to remove dishwasher safe filters than can be easily cleaned and will vent the exhaust air in the void behind your kitchen cupboards.
