While Upright vacuum cleaners are generally heavier than cylinder vacuum cleaners they have many advantages especially when hovering carpets. Upright vacuum cleaners have a motorized brush that agitates the carpet lifting the dirt and hair as it suck. Most cylinders will push the hair back and forth on the carpet until if forms a ball . Upright Vacuum cleaners also require less bending over and are therefore easier on your back.
